GcMAF is short for Gc protein-derived Macrophage Activating Factor

Saisei has 5 types GcMAF in Japan. Old GcMAF, Serum GcMAF, Autologous GcMAF, Dietary MAF and Recombinant MAF

Old GcMAF (1st generation)

Old GcMAF is produced using a vitamin D3 affinity column which is used repeatedly in a room.

This could increase the risk of cross contamination and that’s why Saisei stopped producing old GcMAF many years ago.

New generation GcMAF

Saisei produces 5 types of GcMAF in Japan

Serum GcMAF (New generation

Higher concentration and stability

We have been focusing on developing new generation GcMAF, which is serum GcMAF, Autologous GcMAF, Dietary MAF, and Recombinant MAF. This is our cell Processing Center.

Autologous GcMAF (New generation)

Using a patient or family member’s blood

Dietary MAF (New generation)

Food product in Japan

Dietary MAF is a food product in Japan, but it is very effective for a wide variety of diseases. When we developed Dietary MAF, we never imagined how effective and important it would be. The newest generation, Recombinant MAF, can be (considered )a new medication.

What are macrophages?

  • Macrophages are hungry white blood cells
  • They engulf invading
    bacteria and target cells
  • Move like amoebas
  • Found in essentially all tissues

Macrophages have very important functions such as phagocytosis of pathogens, removal of dying or dead cells, and scavenging cellular and other debris. They play a critical role in adaptive immunity, wound healing, tissue repair and regeneration.

Just look at this active macrophage engulfing debris

M1, M2 macrophages and Dietary MAF

  • Dietary MAF does not cause the production of IL-1β and TNF-α in mice experiments (Tokushima University)
  • Dietary MAF induced increases in helper T cells and killer T cells in healthy dogs (Tottori University)
  • Dietary MAF suppressed the production of IL-4 and IL-6 in healthy dogs ( Tottori University)
  • Serum GcMAF increases the number of monocytes in the blood and the rate of maturation of dendritic cells in vitro (Saisei)
  • Recent studies have revealed that the M1/M2 paradigm is not sufficient to encompass all states of macrophage activation.
  • Actually, macrophages have the ability to change their polarization in response to different stimuli.
  • Macrophage phenotype changes during tissue repair, switching from M1-like to M2-like phenotype

TISSUE MACROPHAGES: Tissue resident macrophages + monocytes

  • Macrophages exist in nearly all tissues
  • Tissue resident macrophages play critical roles in repair and regeneration of each tissue

  • Autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
  • Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS)
  • Atopic dermatitis
  • Hair loss

  • Pollinosis
  • Autoimmune diseases
  • Injuries
  • Epilepsy
  • Brain degenerative diseases
  • Rejuvenation and Longevity
Phagocytosis assay with Second Generation GcMAF. Arrows indicate cells internalized by macrophages.

Initially, we treated cancer patients with GcMAF injection and Dietary MAF. Later MAF showed good effects for a wide variety of diseases, such as antibiotics resistant bacteria, COVID-19, Autism, chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), atopic dermatitis, hair loss, pollinosis, injuries and many others.

Recently, we have noticed that Dietary MAF is very effective for rejuvenation and even for longevity, for which there were no essential treatments available in the past.
